Pete's artistic practice spans acting, writing, directing, devising and leading workshops.

His acting work includes: Moliere's George Dandin, directed by Phillip Osmond, the short film Welcome Stop, directed by Michael Achtman, and his solo show Fat which he wrote and performed in. He has taken Fat on tour, including Edinburgh Festival 2012.

He has devised and delivered workshops at the Orpheus Centre, DIY8 (Live Art Development Agency), and the Unicorn Theatre and he has facilitated for Graeae at a school for children with learning difficulties. He has designed and delivered performance workshops for people with alternative forms of communication. Supported by the Arts Council England, the Barbican Centre and Guildhall School of Music & Drama, he directed the development week for The Circle by James Rose.

Pete has been awarded an Unlimited 2014 commission, to develop a new piece of work exploring the sensitive issues and themes of rape and sexual abuse, and the depression and psychological impact on a person's mental health. He is keen to develop his artistic practice in new directions, whilst continuing to explore some of the core issues Fat began to unpick: the politics of perceptions of disability; and how languages and technologies of Live Art and theatre (video, recorded sound, movement) can combine in unexpected ways to challenge narrative conventions, assumptions and habits.

Brain - Unlimited Research and development Commission (2014)

Pete worked on developing a new piece of work exploring the sensitive issues and themes of rape and sexual abuse, and the depression and psychological impact on a person's mental health. Evolving from source materials including found poems, writings, pop songs, images and other popular culture references, support from Unlimited will enable Edwards to work with a group of artists to develop performance fragments which reflect and respond to this complex issue.
